i am moving to anchorage, alaska in sixty-two days. wow. crazy! seeing that in print makes it even more intense!
people keep asking me why... well, here is a small list of reasons why.
1: i have been thinking about moving for a while, but, i have had jobs and a big work load with weddings, so the timing was just never good timing, but as of september seventeenth, those things are all not a reality anymore, so i am ready.
2: i have been praying for an opportunity to go away again, i feel like i need to be pushed out of my comfort zone again, and need to rely on God. i am really excited that he has given me an opportunity to go somewhere that excited me so much!
3: anchorage is someplace i have always wanted to live. literally, in fourth grade, i wrote a book about how much i wanted to live there. so, it is a lifelong dream coming to reality.
4: i have a bunch of friends that i lived with in ecuador, that are living up in anchorage, which also makes me excited. i love all of them, and it will be so much fun to reconnect with them and be able to meet new people as well!
5: i have already talked to a few employers, which makes me happy, and i have a roommate up there, and it all kind of just fell into place... which is lovely!
so, now you know why anchorage. now, if anyone is driving through minnesota up to the anchorage area, let me know, i have a lot of stuff! it will be nice to not have everything! simplifying is always a good thing!
i am planning on leaving september twentieth, with my mom and best friend, and possibly a few other people! i am planning on driving for like twenty-six hours straight and then staying somewhere and driving another twenty-six hours straight. only, it will end up being more like four days because of stopping and all.
anyways, i am excited to move, a little nervous, but just trusting that God will work it all out!
in other news, i am merging my company with another girl, her name is mindy, and she is fantastic! i am so excited to work with her on this! it is such a blessing to be able to do this, and will be fun to be able to try and make it global!
i feel like God is planning some big things in my life, and i am just along for the ride. take the tide is an appropriate blog title for this!
i will leave you with my favorite things this week...
